Zoning Board of Adjustment

What We Do

The Board of Adjustment generally meets twice a month and is charged with hearing and deciding matters of zoning appeals, zoning variances, and the establishment of legal nonconforming rights. Please see section 525.110 of the Code of Ordinances for the Board of Adjustment’s powers and duties.

The Board of Adjustment generally meets every other Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at:

All public hearing items are subject to a ten-day appeal period after the Board of Adjustment meeting. Items that are appealed go before the Zoning & Planning Committee of the City Council.

Board of Adjustment Members

The Board of Adjustment consists of nine persons appointed by the City Council from an advisory list submitted by the City Planning Commission.
